Ages 16 to adult; 232 page book with color pictures

This workbook comes in color and contains cognitive exercises that can be used to provide therapy and assessment during the rehabilitation process. This workbook can be used by people with developmental, cognitive, and/or communication deficits, Down syndrome, aphasia, dysphasia, poor intelligibility, poor oral-motor skills, dementia, and more. It provides a means to evaluate English and Spanish speakers’ ability to process written and verbally presented information, as well as to recall that information in a quick and accurate manner. Numerous screening forms are provided to assess word retrieval, attention-behavior skills, communication, social-pragmatic skills, adaptive skills, gross motor skills and oral-motor skills. Phonemic exercises are included to provide therapy to people with oral-motor deficits, aphasia, dysarthria, dementia, or poor intelligibility in general. All activities are in English and Spanish.

(12) complete word association tasks,
(13) recall words given phonemic clues,
(14) recall words that start with a target sound,
(15) segment words,
(16) accurately insert missing vowels given consonants,
(17) accurately insert missing consonants given vowels,
(18) recall final syllables in words, or
(19) match syllables to form words,
(20) perform speech agility drills of multisyllabic words,
(21) perform speech agility drills of phrases.
